Even after more than 5 years in Tokyo, it still surprises me when the weather gods suddenly switch on the next season. There is no gradual moving from one to the next, no slowly rising/falling temperatures – seasons in Tokyo literally change from one to the next day and spring started together with the month of March.
Spring is all about nature awakening – fresh greens, floral scents and slight touches of colour. Us humans migrate from the warmth of our home to the outdoors, longer day light hours and warm rays of sunshine carry an early promise of summer.
