For the base:

  • 4-5 apples (any will do, I prefer more tart ones), peeled, cored & chopped into bitesized pieces
  • 4 pears, peeled, cored & chopped into bitesized pieces
  • 4 TBSP water
  • 3 TBSP golden syrup

For the crumble:

  • 100g butter
  • 2 TBSP golden syrup
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup desiccated coconut
  • 2/3 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

Make the crumble & assemble:

  • Melt butter & golden syrup together in a pot.
  • Add all other crumble ingredients, stir until well combined.
  • Lightly grease baking dish and add fruit.

  • Serve warm with ice cream or cream. Yum!!
