With our lil house in Germany being a new build, the bedroom pretty much was a white box with lovely wooden floors and a floor-to-ceiling window.
I wanted to add some drama and texture to the space without the use of too much colour. It’s a fairly small room with just enough space for a bed, bedside tables and a wardrobe. If we’d live in the house permanently I would have opted for a custom-made wardrobe to maximise the space. However that expense wasn’t warranted as we currently use the lil house only a few weeks a year.

To add a little more storage space, we purchased a bed with drawers. Also the baskets on top of the wardrobe act as an additional storage option.
The large mirror is not only practical, it also makes the room appear larger than it is as it reflects light back into the room.
It took me a long time and a lot of research to settle on the wall mural. It was so worth the time and effort – we’re in love!
